PGA National Day of HOPE: "Celebrate our Nation's Heroes"
From October 1 until November 11th (Veterans Day), The New Jersey Golf Foundation is running a Veteran Campaign, PGA National Day of HOPE, to raise money in support of our Veteran Programs and to Honor our Veterans. PGA HOPE New Jersey (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of the NJ Golf Foundation, the charitable foundation of the New Jersey PGA Section. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. PGA National Day of HOPE has two goals: Celebrate our nation’s heroes; and raise awareness and support for PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere). More About PGA HOPE
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. PGA HOPE Programming runs at no cost for Veterans.
PGA HOPE has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which enables Recreational Therapists to refer Veterans to the PGA HOPE program as a form of therapy.
