THE THREE PILLARS

The NJGF is the charitable arm of the New Jersey PGA Section. With a focus on 3 core pillars (youth, military, special needs), the NJGF is committed to impacting lives and communities through the game of golf. Led by PGA Professionals, the NJGF hosts a dynamic line-up of programming that provides access for individuals from all backgrounds to experience the game of golf.

Focused programming under the guidance of PGA Professionals offers opportunities for boys & girls to experience the game of golf.

The NJGF operates one of the nation’s most prolific Golf In Schools programs, impacting more than 110,000 boys and girls (K-8th grade) at over 200 schools, incorporating golf into the Phys. Ed.
curriculum at elementary and middle schools. Additionally, the growth of PGA Junior League Golf across N.J. has been incredible. This is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and play the game of golf. More than 500 kids participated in N.J. in 2015, encompassing over 60 teams representing public, private and First Tee facilities.

Learning and playing the game of golf is a proven activity that has positively impacted thousands of wounded Veterans nationwide. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of the NJGF, designed to introduce golf -- at
No Cost – to Veterans with disabilities, in order to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. The HOPE program, led by PGA Professionals, helps veterans assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game of golf provides.

The PGA of America is committed to making the game of golf accessible for all, including the implementation of programs that promote inclusion within the sport. To support this pillar, the NJGF offers a line-up of dynamic programming while integrating adaptive equipment, to ensure the game is more welcoming for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
