SUPPORT THE NJ GOLF FOUNDATION
The New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF) is a 501c3 and the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section of the PGA of America (NJPGA). The NJGF was created to positively impact lives and communities through the game of golf, with a focus on three core pillars, youth, military and special needs. Under the guidance of PGA Professionals, programming is designed to provide individuals from all backgrounds an opportunity to experience the game of golf in a welcoming environment.
NJGF Programming Highlights:
The NJGF operates one of the nation’s most prolific Golf In Schools programs, impacting more than 110,000 boys and girls (K-8th grade) at over 200 schools, incorporating golf into the Phys. Ed. curriculum at elementary and middle schools.
PGA HOPE – Helping Our Patriots Everywhere is the NJGF’s flagship military program, introducing golf to Veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Golf has become a therapeutic part of the rehabilitation process for many Veterans with disabilities, and PGA HOPE is truly making a difference.
PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and play the game of golf. The league provides an outlet for beginners to play in a popular “team” scramble format, as opposed to the traditional “individual” stroke-play competition.
Other NJGF programs that have experienced overwhelming growth include Els For Autism golf programming for children with autism spectrum disorder; Special Olympics NJ Golf; the Goddard School Program and the Mid Atlantic Blind Golf Association program; among others.
