Bedminster, NJ- August 21, 2020

Introducing New PGA WORKS Fellow, Jose Renderoskieffer

The New Jersey PGA and New Jersey Golf Foundation in conjunction with PGA REACH, hired a new PGA WORKS Fellow, 4 year US Navy veteran, Jose Renderoskieffer. Born and raised in Honduras, Renderoskieffer moved to the U.S. at the age of 10. He attended Windsor Plainsboro High School South where he was actively involved in its sports program, playing Football, Lacrosse, and Wrestling. After graduating from high school, Jose decided he wanted to give back in a big way.

After the 9/11 attacks on America, Renderoskieffer enlisted in the Navy in 2004 as an aircraft structural mechanic. Once enlisted, he attended boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. He attended his first Naval school in Pensacola, Florida. His first assignment was located in Norfolk Virginia with the VAW-124 Bear Aces, a squadron of airplanes, E-2C Hawkeyes. In 2005, he was deployed to Iraq and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005-2006.

When his service was up, Renderoskieffer moved back to New Jersey to start a new chapter in his life. He attended school at Fairleigh Dickinson University under the Montgomery G.I. Bill. He graduated with an undergrad degree in Sports Administration in a little over 2 years. Jose returned to school for his masters and after 2 years, he graduated with his masters degree in Sports Administration. Renderoskieffer also played 3 years of Division III football at Fairleigh Dickinson. When asked about the opportunity to work as the PGA WORKS Fellow, Renderoskieffer added, “I am very excited about this opportunity. Ever since my first conversation with Chris Hunt, Executive Director of The New Jersey Golf Foundation, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I always wanted to give back to those who have served and I am very excited to help the New Jersey PGA and New Jersey Golf Foundation with their veteran programs, including the programs for disabled veterans. I look forward to working with the New Jersey PGA and New Jersey Golf Foundation and am grateful for this wonderful opportunity”.

The New Jersey PGA and New Jersey Golf Foundation are excited to welcome Jose Renderoskieffer as their 2020-2021 PGA WORKS Fellow!
